Update on : Rimmel London Foundation (2nd update)

Hello beauties ! Today, I am just gonna do a short update on the Rimmel London Foundation. I did a review on that foundation earlier, you can view it here :

http://whatswithbeauty.blogspot.com/2012/12/product-review-rimmel-london-foundation.html

So, basically in that post I actually told you that the foundation was okay. Okay, here's the thing. The foundation is alright, I like the texture and I like how it works on my skin. The only thing that is not okay is, it takes time to dry up. I just realized this and I am sorry for that. But, it is still a good foundation so don't worry. :) What you can do is, after you apply the foundation you can use your face mist. Just to make sure it sticks to your skin. For the face mist, I still couldn't do any review on that because I haven't found any face mist that is super good and affordable. I have one face mist right now, and I'm not sure where to find other face mist right after I finish the one I'm using now. I have also done a review on my favourite products so you can scroll down my previous posts aite beauties? If you have any comments or if you have any good products that you would like to share with me, you can do so ! You are most welcome to do that. :)

Until next post, stay tuned beauties !

TheFaceShop : Haul

Hello pretty ladies ! So today, I'm just gonna do a short update. I don't even know whether this can be called as 'haul' or not since I only bought two things from the shop. Oh well. I told you beauties that I went to the BBW (Big Bad Wolf) last Friday right? Apart from my main mission in getting books, I also wanted to get something from my new recent love (favourite shop) which is.... THE FACE SHOP ! (OhmyKimHyunJoong!) Okay, enough with the fangirling. :p At first, I only wanted the Nail Buffer (omg it is so cheap and super pretty !) but I accidentally bought two things. (accidentally you wish haha ) Since my Oil Control Film has long gone and I have been wanting to get a new one, I also bought the Oil Control Film ! I'll upload few photos for you beauties alright? :)

These are the things : Nail Buffer and Oil Control Film.

This is the nail buffer. It costs me , myr 5.90. That is like super cheap !

And this is the oil control film. This one costs me, myr 12.90. That can be considered affordable.

So, ladies what are you beauties waiting for? Go and get those two items now ! Affordable and the oil control film, especially is really essential for us. We need to have that in our handbag wherever we go. Just because, we need them !

Until next post, stay tuned beauties !

Updated : Pore Minimizer by TheFaceShop.

Hello ladies ! I know I know, it's been more than one week now. I promised to do an update on the mask from TheFaceShop. I am truly sorry as I was busy with stuffs and sometimes I even forgot to put on the mask. (I'm old, I can feel it.) So, I have used the mask on my face. I even gave trials to few ladies. The result is....

It was good ! It did a great job, so far. I'd recommend this to anyone who has :

  • Oily face. Since it is green tea based, it is good for those who have oily skin, like me.
  • Who needs to minimize the pores on the face. Just what I needed.
  • I think this mask can also make your skin fairer and get rid of those scars that you have. Hopefully !
Personally, for scars I'd recommend you to use Bio Oil. I used that when I had chickenpox and I had so many scars on my face. I looked like a monster, no kidding. (I don't even want to remember that moment it was so terrible.) Basically, I just applied the oil on the scars and it took me less than a month to get rid of those scars. Magical, really magical. Alrighty, back to the main discussion beauties. Where were we? Oh yes, about the Pore Minimizer. For me, it does what it says. It's good, it is smooth to my skin, I feel so calm having that on my face (it smells so nice, ching ! Bonus point for that hehe ). I am happy with what it does to my skin. I have only used that thrice. Twice during the first week, and yesterday was the third time. So, it is still too early to tell but well. I like it so much that I'm gonna recommend you beauties to get it ! :) Go and grab yours now at TheFaceShop.

Until next post, stay tuned beauties !

Quotes.

Hello beauties ! So today, I am gonna do something different. I finally bought myself a book which contains quotes (best part is, all quotes are specially for us, women !) You know, there are times when we will feel so lonely, down and you name it. All those negative feelings. I know ladies, I know. Been there done that. So, I got myself this book and I am sure that I will have this book in my handbag and bring it everywhere I go. Personally, I really think this kind of book is good, not only for women but guys too. It'll help to sooth our crowded mind. :) I bought this book at the Big Bad Wolf. OH MY GOD ! There're so many books, you'll go crazaaaaayyhhh. (I know I did hehe) The books are all so freaking cheap. I bought 6 books for only myr 48. Imagine that ladies, how can I resist myself to get more books? (I actually told myself I'm gonna get only 2 books) Failed... But seriously, go now and buy books ! Last day is on the December 23rd. So, you beauties still have time. :) The book that I got is We Empower Inspirational Wisdom for Women by Maria Shriver. Now, I'll include one of the quotes that I encountered and really made my day :

"Buy yourself flowers whenever you can. You deserve it."

Yes ladies, you deserve it ! First rule to be pretty is to feel pretty. To feel pretty, compliment yourself ladies. Giving compliments to ourselves won't do any harm. All of my pretty ladies deserve that. :) I hope that quote made your day just like how it made my day !

p/s : What do you think if I post at least one quote per day, you know just to share with you beauties what I have in mind? Share your thoughts with me ladies !

Until next post, stay tuned beauties !

Guest's Review : Balms by Miss Farah Albiy.

---
hello pretty beauty lovers :) so this time i'm invited to review on lip moisturizers or lip balms. we know that the most basic step of looking good is looking healthy and girl, cracked dry lips ain't sexy at all. i personally have been through my own series of try and error phases with lip balms so today i will share the outcome of my experiments. enjoy :)
  1. the all famous LIP SMACKER. i know we all get amazed when we see the variety choices of flavours that they offer and as a lip balm addict i just have to own them. for me these lip balms are just okay, they do the job with constant application but they tend to feel very heavy on the lips. nevertheless its fun to have flavours on your lips. the price range is approximately between 10MYR to 40MYR.
  2. THE DOLCE MOIST BALM by elianto. now this is my favourite lip balm so far. i use this everyday before i put any other thing on my lips. it offers SPF20 exactly what someone who lives in tropical Malaysia needs and it feels totally light on the lips if we don't pile it on that is the packaging is definitely pretty and its not that expensive. i'm sorry but i couldn't remember how much it really costs but its totally affordable i promise that.
  3. THE KORRES SHEA BUTTER LIP BALM. i also love this one too. it contains shea butter and beeswax and keeps your lips soft all day long. but the bad thing about this product is it isn't available in Malaysia. there are a few korres product sold in sephora but not this one. the korres shea butter lip balm costs 6USD and its the cheapest among the korres product line. so it could get a little pricey for all us budget barbies ;)
  4. THE FRUITY LIP ICE by mentholatum. i believe this is the most popular lip balm in Malaysia. its like the most basic lip balm you could find. well get this: i hate it. i have used the lip ice line since i was in school and it does moisturize the lips but only with frequent application. if you forget to reapply or just leave it on your lips for the whole day, your lips will get chapped. and ugly. just don't okay beauties :)
  5. VASELINE petroleum jelly, or any type of petroleum jelly available. personally i just feel everyone just needs to own a pot of petroleum jelly as it comes in handy for quite a handful of occasions. without a doubt, petroleum jelly works wonders on my lips as it keeps it moisturized all day long. it is also so very cheap especially when it can be used for so many things. the only drawback of this product is it doesn't have any SPF in it so it exposes our lips to sun burn which eventually leads to dark and chapped lips. and we do not want that happening alright?
  6. DELIPSCIOUS TINTED LIP BALM from the body shop. now this lip balm is amazing. it keeps the lips soft all day and the colour is just delightful. i own one in raspberry, the scent isn't that strong and very natural and its just perfect for those days when you don't particularly feel like wearing lip colour but still want to look presentable. only it is a tad bit pricey for us who have a tight budget. it costs about 38MYR per tube. but honestly people, its totally worth it.
  7. last but not least the LIP ICE WATER COLOUR by mentholatum. this lip ice, i definitely approve of. it has a very natural pink colour -all four of the available colours are pretty- its just moisturizing, nothing spectacular about this product in this department, but the colour they come with is just so pretty. its quite a bargain as i always keep a tube in my bag and i double it as a cheek stain, which also works perfectly. its rather cheap, only under 16MYR and works great.
so, that's my opinion based on my own life experience. hope its helpful :)

Product review : Rimmel London Foundation &Tips.

Hi beauties ! As I've promised in my second entry, I'm gonna do an update about my new found love which is my recently bought foundation, Rimmel London, Stay Matte Foundation. (Anything that has matte on it, I'll buy it.) Why does I love love love products that are matte? I have oily skin. I cannot possibly use anything with fragrance or anything milky. It'll show more. So, anything matte is good for oily skin. I found this foundation in Watsons. I doubt it at first because I've been wanting to get Revlon's foundation. (still in my list, too expensive so I opt for this.) I bought it and tried the foundation on the next day. Surprisingly, it is super good ! It does what it says, so great job Rimmel ! I don't use much of it since it is thick and it gives me complete finish. (Flaws that you see on my face even after I put on the foundation is because I do not conceal them.) I'll usually use only one coat. I do not use more. I'll look horrible. Tips :

  • When you apply your foundation, make sure you do not use too much, if the foundation is thick. I will recommend you to use your fingers to apply it, but if you want to use sponges, that is also okay. Using fingers will give you full coverage.
  • You can also try to mix two foundations (in this case it means two different tones of foundation) to get something that is similar to your skin color. I haven't tried this yet, hopefully I can do this soon ! (wishlist !!)
  • When you want to purchase a foundation, make sure the color is one tone down. DO NOT GO one tone up. Common mistakes that we usually do, we tend to choose wrong tone of foundation. In the end, we will look super fair and it is horrible. You do not want to look like a vampire, do you?
  • When you want to try on the foundation, try it on your face not on the back of your hands. Note that, the color of the back of your hands are not the same as your face. Usually, our face is darker than our hands. (I did this, and it helped.)
  • Lastly, go with one of your girlfriends. They can help you. I do not like to go alone when I want to purchase cosmetics. I need advices, and usually I'll bring one of my girlfriends to accompany me. Better yet, ask the person in charge. They will help you. :)
Those are few tips that I can give to you beauties. Hopefully it helps ! Now, I'll include pictures of the Rimmel London Foundation. I am in the color 103 (True Ivory) I got this foundation for rm28.

Until next post, stay tuned beauties !

Favourites Products.

Hi beauties ! So today I'm gonna share with you dolls few of my favourite products. Some of them have been in my collection for quite some time and recently it proved why I should keep them. There are also few products that I just bought and so far it does the job. You know, when you wanna buy something or products that you really like, you tend to go for things that come with 'brands.' And the prices are phewwww, so expensive ! I'm a student so I know. I know the feeling of wanting this and that and sometimes you just can't afford it. So, the products that I'm using are basically those that you can get at Watsons or Guardian or any drug store that you can find. It is affordable and it really does the job. That's the best part right? So here we go beauties !

  • This is the face mist that I got during the PC fair in UPM recently. I got this for rm20. A product from Korea. I use this to set my make up. To ensure that my foundation stays in place all day long. So far, I am happy with what it does to my skin. My make up stays longer and that's what we want right beauties? Well, if you can't find this, you can just find other face mist. Any face mist that you can find, you can use it. Make sure you stay within your budget ! Do not go overspend. Remember beauties !

  • For this one, this is the only lip care that I have. I do not own any other lip balms. To be honest, whenever I want to put on my lipstick, I just put it. I do not use lip balms before I put the lipstick on. This is a formulated one. I got this when I was in Makkah. I tried to google this and tried to find this here in Malaysia, unfortunately they do not have it here. This is really good for my lips. But, as I said earlier you can use any other lip balms that you have. We have so many lip balms in the market now. Find lip balms that is formulated. It will protect your lips as that is the main objective, okay beauties? One more reminder, to avoid your lips from getting chapped, you better put on the lip balms first before you put on your lipsticks/lipgloss. (I'll have someone to do a review on lipbalms okay beauties!) Oh and drink lots of plain water ! That'll definitely help. :)

  • The last thing (only in this post beauties) is my favourite moisturiser so far, Simple. I got this for few months now and have been using it ever since. And so far, I like it. I haven't found any other moisturiser that is affordable and good for my skin. Before you put on your foundation/bb cream, it is best if you apply your moisturiser first. It is to protect your skin as we know that foundation/bb cream, they contain chemicals. We need to make sure that we look good/okay whenever our face are chemical free. (That only happens during the night, in my case I look okay without make up. Just okay. :P) You can get this in any drug store, I got mine at Guardian and it costs me around rm16-17. It is affordable and it suits my skin. Tips : Find moisturiser that is suitable for your skin, know what is your skin type then only we can talk about the solution okay beauties? Not everyone has the same skin type.

Those are among my favourite products that I have been using a lot and I really like it ! So, if you have any comments or you even want to share your favourite products, you can ! I wanna know what is/are your favourite products.

Until next post, stay tuned beauties !

Product review : Pore Minimizer

Hi beauties! So today I'm gonna do a review on this one product that I got (finally I bought this after so long) last week. I haven't got the chance to try this on yet, but I will do it, hopefully by tonight. And next week, I'll tell you beauties how does this product works on me. So, the product that I got is....

Not anymore since I got myself a very good foundation.. (This will be on the blog soon beauties!) No worries, I will try the mask tonight and let you beauties know the result or how I feel about this product next week yea. And now, pictures time !
