September's Haul : Skincare & Makeup

Hi dolls! This update will be on the things I bought in September. I may not include everything that I have bought in the past month because I have the intention to do a separate post on that. May I find the time and also may laziness stay away from me, Amin! Okay, I will first show you the photos of what I have bought. :b

Good Virtues Co. Anti Dandruff Shampoo, Maybelline's Baby Skin primer, The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream,
The Body Shop Shower Gel in Passion Fruit with its Bath Lily, Rexona Deodorant in Shower Clean.

This shampoo okay obviously I bought this because of its excuse me, super cute packaging! But, I have also read the reviews before I decided to go with this. I am not that type of person who can easily try out any shampoo because I take my shampoo seriously. This smells like herbs probably because of the habbatus sawda. This shampoo is okay with me, didn't actually take away my dandruff but it keeps my hair and scalp clean. I'd give this 7.5/10. I got this at Watsons for only RM9.80!

This baby right here, I have been waiting for this to come to Malaysia and finally it's here! I decided to go with this although I have a tube of face primer to go through but yeah.. I wanted to see whether this primer lives up to its hype. Honestly for me, it's not that awesome. It does blur out your pores a lil bit but that's all? I honestly feel this is just an okay product. Again, what works for me might not for you and vice versa, okay ladies? :) I'd give this 6/10. Got this at Watsons for RM29.90 (i think)

This body shower right hereee. I have been wanting to try this out for the longest time! Sweet scent and that's all I need. With the Bath Lily, I can use small amount of product each time which is would be super money saving for me! I got this at The Body Shop for RM29.90 and the Bath Lily retails at RM19.90.

Another thing that I got at The Body Shop, this Vitamin Eye Cream. I wanted something to heal my dark circle. Honestly for me, my dark circles aren't that bad. I do not have eyebags, only dark circles. I have been using this for over a month now and I can only see little improvement? I use this religiously, twice a day. It doesn't really make my dark circles gone but I love this for it hydrates my undereye. That's awesome! This retails at RM65 but it was on 10% sale at that time.

This deodorant right here, I started using this when I finished my previous one which was the Lady Speed something.. I had gotten mini samples of this and I loved it. This smells powdery and the scent is not too strong. Got this in full size and loving it. I got this at Watsons for RM7.

I have featured this photo in my previous post. These lashes are amazing. I got this at Daiso and I had no regrets. Both were retailed at RM5.30 each. Daiso people Daiso!

This baby right here has been raved by many online. I went to Elianto Seremban to get this but it was out of stock. When I went to The Mines, boom! I saw it and bought it lol. This is in the code 04. Sweet color and this is in matte finish. Totally matte. It doesn't leave ugly stains on your lips but you might want to prep your lips beforehand since matte lipstick can enhance chapped lips. Love this! I got this for RM32.

That'd be all for this post ladies! I will see y'all soon!

Stay tuned, beauties!

Sleek Makeup in Vintage Romance inspired Makeup Look.

Hello ladies! This is going to be by far my most favourite makeup look I have ever created. I just love how everything is well blended and complimented each other. From the eyes to the lips. I also used my new favourite thing which is falsies in this makeup look. I got mine at Daiso and this falsies is amazing! It is so beautiful on its own, I don't even need to apply mascara to it. The best thing about these lashes are the bands are invisible woohoo! For this makeup look, I decided to use my Sleek Makeup palette in Vintage Romance and paired it with my Elianto's lipstick which is excuse me, so freaking amazing! From the color to the staying power, ahmahzingg!

The lip color that I used for this look! Elianto Brilliant Riche Lip Color in 04.

Falsies from Daiso to complete the whole look! Loving this xx

I created this look mainly because I wanted to try out the new falsies that I got from Daiso and yes I fell in love at first sight! Secondly because in the Vintage Romance palette, there are a few shadows with purple hue and I wanted to play around with that. Therefore, I came out with this look. This started off as something very formal looking but after I added the lashes, it became quite flirtatious? Hahah. I liked it, this is definitely a look that I will recreate again in the future! How you guys loving this? *can't wait to get my camera so I can start recording*

Until next post, stay tuned beauties!

August's Haul : Drugstore Products

Hello ladies! Finally finally finally, I am able to write again! This post will be a haul post, yes honey you read that right. It ain't that much but I am pretty happy I got to spend my money like nobody's business and try out few items that I've been wanting to try or just randomly grabbed anything that I want and affordable at Watsons. So yeah, I will just first include photos and briefly let you girls know what I think about these products!

St Ives Green Tea scrub and Organic Aid's moisturising cream!

Pure Derm Argan Oil makeup wipes and Maybelline's Lash Sensational Mascara!

L'oreal Matte Moist Lipstick in Glamor Fuchsia, Essence Longlasting Lipliner in Yummy Berry,
Falsies and eyebrow's stencil from MR DIY.

  1. St Ives Green Tea scrub : I love this! I haven't seen any improvement for my blackheads on my nose. This actually helps to reduce the oil on my face. I include this in my daily skincare routine! Maybe I'll do a separate post for my skincare routine. I got this at Guardian for RM 22 ish.
  2. Organic Aid's Moisturising Cream : This is love. Having oily skin doesn't mean we're well hydrated. I found this at Guardian and I absolutely love this. It is non greasy and it mattifies my skin when I apply this. I apply this twice a day and I apply extra at night. Got this around RM15 ish.
  3. PureDerm Argan Oil makeup wipes : This is something that I grabbed unintentionally. Lol. It was on sale and it has Argan Oil to it. Surprisingly, this has captured my heart. Using this to remove my makeup is so easy! Like bamm, all makeups are removed! This has 30 wipes per pack and I think it retails around RM10 ish at Watsons.
  4. Maybelline's Lash Sensational : I wanted to try this because y'all know I think I am obsessed with mascaras these days. This was on sale. I absolutely love this! No clumping at all and with two or more coats on lashes, it still feels light! Got this at Watsons for RM29.80 (on sale)
  5. L'oreal Matte Moist Lipstick in Glamor Fuchsia : This is love at first sight. I swatched this on Sunday and I bought this on Monday lelz. Took me overnight to think about it and I knew I had to get it. It's matte but not drying at all! The color is oh my God. It's pink but I think it's leaning towards purple which I love so much! This retails at RM38 ish. Got this at Watsons.
  6. Essence Longlasting Lipliner in Yummy Berry : I haven't actually got the chance to try this out. But I love the color. The color screams me and yes baby, I'm all about vibrant lipsticks! This retails at RM8.90 (freaking cheap) at Watsons.
  7. Falsies from MR DIY : I bought this for fun because I wanted to master the art of batting on falsies haha. This looks so natural and I love it. Retails at RM5.50.
  8. Eyebrows Stencil from MR DIY : I have no idea how to use this but yes I have a feeling this will help me in future. Retails at RM1.30.

I guess that'd be all ladies! Hope you enjoy reading my haul post for August! School's starting soon, I'm excited for my last semester. xx

Until next post, stay tuned beauties!

Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara : Review

Hi girls!Today I am back with another review. I am currently updating my blog from the office I'm working in right now so basically all photos that I will include is/are from google. Will try to be more consistent in updating my blog. The product that I'm going to review today is a mascara! So, who doesn't love mascaras? Mascaras can instantly change your whole look and if you're lucky enough, you may not need falsies to do the job! This product has been in the market for quite some time and I have owned it for quite a while as well. I got this when it was on sale and I just wanna see whether it is worth the hype or not. I got this for only myr10 when Watson was having a sale so yeah totally a steal as this mascara is retailed at almost myr50 each! Too expensive for a drugstore mascara I would say.. So yes, it is the Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara!

From Google.

Let's first talk about the packaging. The packaging is alright, it's in purple and black which for me is a very good combination of colors. It gives me that grunge feeling, sort of mysterious looking as well. It's obviously plastic and that's cool because you don't have to worry whether you'll break your mascara or not. Wait, do we have mascara in other materials except plastic? Lol. Okay, packaging is fine, I have no problem with the packaging. Another cool thing about this mascara is it is dual end! You basically get two mascaras in one tube! Get me, get me? I absolutely love the one for the lower lashes! It fits perfectly and I don't get all smudge when I apply it to my lower lashes. As for the wands, it's pretty slender if I were to compare it to another wands of other mascaras.

Now, the formula of the mascara. It's pretty wet if you ask me. But it dries up pretty fast so you might wanna work through your lashes quickly. This mascara will not clump your lashes so if you have encountered clumping lashes problem before this, you might want to give this a try. And this mascara is totally waterproof! I like waterproof mascara but I don't like it when it's so hard to take it off. I had hard times removing this and I was so afraid that all my lashes will go bald lol. I've tried the Benefit's They're Real Mascara (thanks Farah) and I would say the level of the waterproof-ness of these two are pretty much the same. It is so incovenient for Muslim women to use this if we go outside and we want to pray. I would recommend you girls to stay away from this mascara if you can pray and you're going out!

Other than that, I have no complains about this mascara. I like this, not loving this yet. My holy grail mascara is still the Rocket Mascara by Maybelline. Hands down, the best mascara I've ever encountered! Right now, I am dying to try the Too Faced mascara, Better Than Sex. And that would cost me a fortune so that's probably why I've been delaying it. (priorities, girls.)

Until next post, stay tuned beauties!

Borjouis Healthy Mix Foundation : Review

Hello ladies!! I am so freaking excited to finally be able to write something here! My last post was on May 31st 2015, sheesh now is already July... I was caught up with my final exams, final year project and right now, my internship programme. As I'm writing this, I am now left with only one month before my internship ends! Now, that's exciting! Maybe I'll blog about my internship/working experience later. Maybe.. Anyways, I am back with another review and yes I am excited to review about this product! For all the makeup lovers out there, this foundation is not something that is new in the market. It has been a while actually since the product is finally sold in our drugstores (read Watsons). I have just recently gotten the chance to buy this, own this and try this myself! It is a drugstore product but it ain't that cheap. :( I am talking about none other than Borjouis Healthy Mix Foundation!

I got this in the shade 52, Vanille. It maches my skin tone purrrfectly! The salesgirl at that time was very helpful as well and really nice. She even tried to persuade me to get their powder but I was not looking for powder and plus I have my other powders to go through first. But yes, I was amazed with Borjouis powder as it is finely milled and it is very lightweight on the skin! Alright, let's talk about the foundation. There are actually two types of this foundation. One is the one I have and the other one is Healthy Mix Serum which I believe have more dewy finish which I don't need because I have oily skin and dewy finish will only make me look like a puddle of oil at the end of the day. The Healthy Mix Foundation has more semi matte to matte finish although I have never seen it up to matte finish unless I set it up with my powder. There are two things that I love about this foundation :

  1. The scent smells heavenly! You can actually smell the scent of mix fruits and I love it so much I even sniff at it eventho I don't use it!
  2. The foundation feels really really light on the skin eventho you put on two layers! With only one layer, it feels like you don't have anything on your skin!
Here are two photos that I took using the foundation on my first day Raya!

About the coverage, it is buildable. Honestly, I wouldn't say this foundation has the highest coverage ever but you can build the intensity. I prefer my foundation to be only one layer and I use a little bit of concealer with this foundation. With only one layer, it covers my blemishes. It reduces the redness that I have. Overall, I think this foundation is worth the money spent. I still have one whole bottle to go through before I even think about purchasing another bottle or even another foundation! You can get this foundation at Watsons and it retails at the price of RM55++. Happy purchasing dolls!

Until next post, stay tuned beauties!

Soft Shimmery Red Eyes with Soft Pink Lips : Makeup Look

Hi dolls! Gawdd, I miss blogging! I was caught up with so many things plus my internet connection isn't really helping thus no blog posts for almost a week :( Anyways, I am back with another makeup look! This will only be a short and quick post alright ladies? This look has been probably my most favourite makeup look for last week. I love how easy it is to create but still looking pretty good. There will be days I want to incorporate eyeshadows in my daily makeup routine. And usually when I do that, I will only use two to three shades of eyeshadows max. For this look, the star of the whole look has to be Savee's single eyeshadow! So pigmented tho it is quite powdery but I love the color! I am not really sure what code it is since I deported the eyeshadow into another casing.

For the makeup look, I started off as usual. My eyebrows, my concealer and powder routines. I used a shimmery brown on my eyelids focusing on the center of the eyelids. At the outer corner of my eyes, I used the Savee's eyeshadow and blended it in. Took a lil bit of matte brown eyeshadow from Elianto and lined 3/4 of my lower lashlines with that. Took my mascara and applied one coat of that only on my lower lashes. It will give you that opening eyes look but looking quite natural. I love love love doing that! Did my eyeliner thinner than usual with small wing at the end of it and finished it off with soft pink lips! I love how everything turned out well and blended well with each other! I am sorry dolls as I do not have the photos of the products I used for this makeup look. :(

My long time passion.

Hi girls! I am quite excited to share this with y'all because for those who knows me, they know how much I love to do this and I've been doing this for quite a while now. *grins. So, what I'm about to share with you ladies today is nothing extraordinary. It's just something that I love to do and Alhamdulillah, people around me are very supportive about this. It started off as a hobby and I can actually say that I can make money out of this hobby right here, Alhamdulillah. Tho I'm still learning and trust me I have a lot more to learn, I am happy when there are people out there trust me to do their makeups. Yes dolls! It's about my passion as makeup artist/crew. I cringe at calling myself a makeup artist because I'm still new in this. *hides face.

Okay, it all started when I was in my college's english drama team and I was in the makeup team. Later, I was involved with a play production and in that year it was Beauty and The Beast. Again, I was in the makeup team and I have no one to thank but Azze for inviting me to join in the team. :) And again, I was called to join in festik's makeup team. I was happy to be able to things that I love and the smiles that I put on people's faces. Satisfying feeling ever! That's that and I thought it's gonna end there. The next year, it happened again. I was in my college's english drama team and I was in charge for the makeup. And again Azze asked me to join in her play production which was The Great Gatsby and I went for the audition. I got in and I was in the makeup team. :) I did the makeup for Daisy Buchanan aka Fatin and the dancers. Such pleasure working with the ladies. Too bad I didn't take any photos with them. I should remind myself to take photos whenever I'm involved with this kind of thing! The play was a success, everyone was happy. Yeay! 2015 is the final year I'm involved with my college's english drama team and the last time I worked as one of the makeup crews. ;') The most recent one was Festik. It ended yesterday and to be honest I had no intention of joining the team. Karthik asked for my help and because he was so helpful during our english drama competition, I agreed to help him along with my friends. That's about me joining the makeup team for college and play productions.

Few of my friends trusted me to do their makeups and I was paid for that. To be honest, I was really nervous to do pretty makeups because I was so used to stage makeups and it's a lot different than pretty makeups. I tried my best and Alhamdulillah, so far they're loving it! The only reason why I'm sharing this with y'all because I want to share my passion with you guys. Do things that you love and do it sincerely. Go for your dreams and I am still taking baby steps in this passion of mine. I have high hopes and I will never stop learning. Live your dreams, dolls! Here's few of the photos that I have. :)

Makeup for Nisa for the fashion show event!

Makeup for Festik 2015!

Makeup for Mek. For fun purposes. :)

Makeup for Farhana for her college's dinner!

I hope y'all are entertained by this post! Go for your dreams ladies!

Until next post, stay tuned beauties!

Collection Cosmetics Concealer : Review

Hi ladies! Today I'm going to review on something that is one of the most essential items for makeup lovers out there. Can you guess what it is? Yes, it is concealer! No makeup collection will ever be complete without a concealer regardless of the price. I am still using concealers from drugstore and I have never owned any concealer from high end brands. You should never underestimate the quality of drugstore items. *grins. Nways, the concealer that I'm going to review on today is the most recent purchase that I made which is the Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer in code Cool Medium 2. Phew, the name is so long! The reason why I purchased this is because I ran out of my most favourite concealer which is the Maybelline's concealer :( and also I wanted to try out something new!

I believe the one that I got is not the lightest shade because when I swatched it at the store, it appeared to be a bit darker and yellowish compared to my usual color. But it looked fine after I blended it all out so I bought it. The price is cheaper than the Maybelline one. And plus it was on sale at that time. I retailed it at the price of RM16.90 so yeah gurlll I like anything that is below rm20! The bottle is slimmer than the Maybelline's. It comes with a wand, nothing unusual about that because it is pretty normal for drugstore concealers to come with a wand. Wand makes it easier and faster to apply your concealer but it can also be quite unhygienic. It is advisable not to share anything like this with anyone else. Alright ladies?

Now, what about the consistency of this concealer you may ask. Well, apart from it being a bit yellowish for my skin tone, the consistency is excellent. It is thick but not that kind of thick that will make you feel disturbed once you apply it on your face. One minus point for this concealer is that, it has scent to it, like plastic and very superficial scent. I don't like it. But it all disappears once you blend it out so no worries alright? Another minus point for this is that once you put it on your face, you need to work it out fast because it dries up quickly! Once that happens, you need to put in more time and effort to blend it all out. Happened to me once so I am speaking based on experience hahah.

Swatches without blending.

After blending!

Alright, I would suggest this concealer for those who wants something affordable but works really well. What do you think ladies? Let me know your thoughts in the comment box down below!

Until next post, stay tuned beauties!

Sleek Eyeshadow Palette in Vintage Romance : Review

Hello ladies! I'm back with another review, I hope y'all are up for this! The item that I'll be reviewing today is the none other than the Sleek Eyeshadow Palette in Vintage Romance! I have had this palette for quite a while now and I find myself reaching for this palette for a lot of times this past weeks. I must be loving this palette so much. Alright, I got this palette from Luxola.com If you haven't checked that website out, you should do it now. And plus, they always have discounts for you girls so check 'em out alright! This palette would be the second Sleek eyeshadow palette that I own. The first one is the Bad Girl palette. Let's look at the palette first!

This palette comes in 12 super pigmented shades and most of them are either with heavy shimmers or subtle shimmers. There is only one shade in this palette that is totally matte and it is the soft reddish brown in the first row. This is more like a transition color or can also be used as contouring shade.  It also comes with an applicator which I don't really use unless I need to. I have used maybe not all but two or three shades which I absolutely love! I usually use the gold shade in the inner corner of my eyes and as well as on my lower lashline. Pretty! The dark bronzy color is also my favourite for adding more definition to my eyes. The first color on the second row from your left, is such a sweet color. I love that as well! The shades are shimmery but so far, I have no terrible fall outs when I use this palette. For such an affordable eyeshadow palette, this worths every penny. :) Now, the swatches!

The first row colors!

The second row colors!

I would definitely say, the first row of colors in this palette are all glittery and the colors are not as intense as on the second row! The second row offers you more intense and deep colors which are more suitable for night look. Either way, I love these colors and I will find a way to use all the colors in this palette more often! What do you think ladies about this palette? Let me know in the comment box below!

Until next post, stay tuned beauties!

MAC Lipstick in Diva : Review

Hello ladies! This one week has been an emotional and tiring week for me. What can you expect? Being in my final year and just starting my final year project aka fyp, it gets a lil bit too overwhelmed at times. But I love being busy. It gets my mind off things and I have no time to waste (yelah tu). Okay, enough with that. I have another review for you dolls! I have been wanting to talk about this for the longest time! Super excited about this because as a makeup junkie, you will reach to a point where you say to yourself, 'Hey, I think it's about time I get something from the high end brands.' And yess, this item would be the first ever item I have ever got from the high end brands! I didn't purchase this because this was given to me as a birthday present. Sweetest birthday present ever. :) You might not know this but I am truly madly in love with lipstickssss! I am willing to splurge on lipsticks because the overloading love I have for them! *grins. The item that I'm going to review today is the lipstick from MAC in Diva. See the name? Fits me muy perfecto!

I believe Diva is not an exclusive item because it has been in the store for quite some time so I don't think this item will be discontinued. And also this has been one of the most raved lipstick by the beauty bloggers out there. Being a lover of both red and dark lipsticks, Diva has been on my list for a long time! I love how deep the color is and how vampy it looks like. I would describe the color as deep burgundy red. But then again, it is how thick you apply the lipstick. I usually go for one thick layer for night look and one thin layer for daylight look. Yes I do use vibrant color for my daylight look because I am that kinda girl. Hihihi. Now, the scent. This lipstick has this sweet vanilla-ish scent to it which I don't mind at all. Because once you apply it on your lips, the scent goes away which means it doesn't linger around so yeah that's pretty cool.

This lipstick worths every penny because of the super amazing staying power! Girl, if you're looking for a lipstick which doesn't leaves horrible stains after you eat and drink, go for MAC lipsticks. I'm not sure about other lipsticks from MAC but this makes a good pretty impression for a first timer like me. After hours, I would still have the lipstick and even if it leaves stains, Diva does it fabulously.I believe that this lipstick is both matte and moisturising. Doesn't dry out my lips and it is not fully matte when you first apply it but after a while it'll turn into matte. Don't worry girls :) I have to give bonus point for their staying power. Superbly amazing! I'm looking forward for my future lipsticks with MAC. Gotta save up money now! Photos time!

Thin layer and thick layer.

Until next post, stay tuned beauties!

Elianto Celestial 2 in 1 Eyeliner : Review

Annyeonghaseyo dolls! Changing my greeting because I kinda feel like a kpop superstar right now. Don't ask me why. Okay, I'm back with another review and this time it's on eyeliners! Who here doesn't love eyeliners? Or don't own one? Goshh girls, y'all better get one alright? Because you know why? Eyeliners are life saviour! Eyeliners can totally change how we look instantly! The product that I'm going to review today is the Elianto Celestial 2 in 1 Eyeliner in Snow White and Vintage Green. I got these two when Elianto was having a sale so I am really sorry because I couldn't remember the price for this eyeliner.

The eyeliners!

The eyeliners!

Now, onto the products! It is pencil type but more like gel-pencil type. U get me? The eyeliner is in pencil form but the formula of the tips are gel like. I'm so bad at describing things right? Okay.. The packaging is something that I love. The color of the body is in deep green, correct me if I'm wrong. The cap is in gold color which I laaaavv! It has like floral design to it and it's in gold as well! You may differentiate the colors by looking at the end of the pencil. Or you can just refer to the code name of the eyeliners :p

Tip of the eyeliner, VG.

Tip of the eyeliner, SW.

Vintage Green is like the deep green color. Definitely my favourite kind of green. And it has subtle shimmers to it. Tho I wish it'd be just matte without any shimmer but that's fine. The Snow White is pure white color with more shimmers to it. Both are in waterproof formula. It doesn't smudge easily, bonus point for that! How I use these eyeliners? For the Vintage Green, I either use it like normal eyeliner or I use it as the base for my eyeshadows. Works great either way. :) As for the Snow White, I usually use it at the lower lashline of my eyes. I have never used the white one for any other purposes except that. Should've experimented more! Overall, I'm pretty happy and satisfied with these eyeliners.

Swatches! Without flash!

Swatches! With flash on!

Will I buy it again in the future? Nope. I would love to try other eyeliners and I believe these two would lasts a long time.

Until next post, stay tuned beauties!
